At His Majesty Request Harlequin comics The Call of Duty Book 1 eBook Maisey Yates Masami Shinohara Reviews
- Four years after her divorce Jessica find herself running a successful dating agency but she is dealing with her toughest client yet. He is Prince Stavros of Kyonos and he wants a wife who will have his children.
Stavros is hard work. He has very high expectations of the woman he will marry. He asks Jessica to check their fertility and he wants to have sex with all the candidates before choosing. Jessica starts to lay down the law and she refuses to allow the prince to 'test drive candidates'. What she doesn't know is that the Prince isn't really interested in any of the candidates but he is interested in Jessica.
Jessica tries her best to keep the prince on track. She is attracted to the prince, but she tries to ignore her attraction because she has secrets and a painful past and she doesn't wish to open herself to heartbreak ever again, but love will have its way and the suitable match for the prince may end up being the most unsuitable candidate.
This was a lovely romance. The Prince was actually determined to do the right thing from the beginning and he comes across as a nice determined man. Jessica was pretty tough, self aware and determined to live life on her terms so it was refreshing to read a romance about a couple who were honest about their lives and their feelings right from the beginning. - This was a cute little story and I love that it's manga! Romance and manga, two of my favorite things.
*I was given this title in exchange for an honest review.
