"I am so glad this author decided to release another M/M title. It's been top long. I am a huge fan and have eagerly awaiting her return. This has also of the elements that I so enjoyed in previous books. I didn't read Running Wild, but it wasn't necessary, Running Blind works just fine as a stand-alone. I hope we don't have to wait so long again - looking forward for additional installments to this series. I really hope Gypsy and Linc will get their HEA soon!"

- One good read. Spoiler alert.
This one starts with Bram. Bram works for the ATF and had been undercover for two years with the Heathens MC Club. He's screwed up their drug operations many time. He was a probie with the club called Monk. He didn't like what he had to do to stay undercover and sure didn't like what he'd seen the Heathens club member do.
Pilisi his boss told him it was time to get out. Bram was leaving his place and everything he left behind meant nothing to him. He almost made it out when the Heathens cornered him and beat him almost to death. They told him that no one leaves the Club. Agents found him later and he was in the hospital but he knew the Heathens weren't done with him.
Bram and his brother Linc had both been in the Army. Bram was Special Forces and was one capable guy but his brother Linc was missing. He hadn't talked to him in over a month and that worried him. He left the hospital against doctors orders and headed to Shades Run a town where Linc had posted bail. He used Brams house as collateral. Gypsy the man at the front desk wanted his money. Bram was looking for info on Linc.
Shades Run has its own motor cycle club. Havoc. Havoc does everything legal and owns several businesses in town plus the bail bond shop. They make money shooting porno films and everything is done legally. Many of the Havoc members are ex military and the Havoc compound is home to many. Its a huge compound and there are houses, trees and open fields. Its a great place to live.
Bram heads for a local bar, Berthas, also owned by Havoc. Bram is far from well and is on pain meds. He mixes those meds with whisky and beer. Not a good combo. When he stands he almost falls but is assisted by one good looking big guy. This is Sweet. The President of the Havoc Motor Cycle Club and an ex Marine. He knows Bram is ex military and suffering from PTSD. He also sees someone beat the hell out of him. He wants the money Linc owes. He also knows Linc as do many of the club members. He hung around the Havoc compound for a month. He was well liked so Sweet is having a hard time understanding the skip on the bail bond. He decides to keep Bram close and help him find Linc. Bram also needs care. Sweet doesn't know it yet but he will be having one scary adventure
So begins one fine read.
This one has Bram, Sweet, Tug, Ozzie, Gypsy, a Gypsy who also needs to find Linc, Misha the doctor who gets Bram back on his feet, a Bram who doesn't trust Sweet, a Sweet who doesn't trust Bram, a Bram and Sweet ending up as lovers, the Havoc members who are close and will do anything to protect the compound and Sweet, a video that shows Linc being abducted, a Bram who knows the Heathens have his brother, the Heathens who contact Sweet and tell him what they want, a Bram who is beginning to realize his boss Pelisi sold him out and Bram and Sweet doing their best to protect who they can, get Linc back, survive and stay alive.
Five Stars - I was so happy when I got the notification about this book. SE Jakes is one of my favourite authors and I'm thrilled that she's back.
And this one just slams it out of the park right away. I have a weakness for men on MCs and I love the dynamic between Sweet, the president of Havoc MC and Bram the undercover ATF agent.
They're both equally strong, but at the same time broken and what they find in each other is just the one thing they need.
But nothing is easy in a world of betrayal, violence and the codes the motorcycle clubs live by and it's a nail biting journey through blood, death and surrender to get to the end.
Love this book and I have to know about Linc and Gypsy!! - It wasn't bad, but the characters were too fantastical and too one-dimensional for me. I never truly understood who they were and how they all came to be connected the way they were joined. Their various feelings, sexual activities, and alliances were too quickly manifested to be even remotely relatable or believable. The main character was supposedly sexually fluid, but no references were made to any past relationships with women, or present attractions to women. Thus, so what? His sexually fluidity was thrown into the narrative early on as if an after thought, then never revisited. A few, not TOO many, typos and editing mistakes distracted me.
- SE's newest Havoc book is amazing. Dare I say I loved this one more than the first? Well I did. I fell in love with Bram and Sweet's story. 5 stars and very much worth the wait. If you like m/m and MC books, you definitely need to check this book and series out.
- SE Jakes is one of my favourite authors. I was thrilled to see the author had released a new book I had almost given up hope.
I was extra happy to see it was Havoc book 2 "Running Blind" Should be up in the top 10 books.
OMG !!! Bram & Sweet did they burn up the pages. Love the story line 2 strong Alpha males hot!!! Motorcycle Gangs!!

- A well written story that I really enjoyed. It had a good plot, chemistry, and plenty of angst. Glad to see this author is back. She was truly missed.
- Sweet was a badass MC president, Bram was an outsider with a lot of secrets. The two together was fierce and protective. I really enjoyed the angst between these two and how they worked together even when fighting. Highly recommend this book. Can’t wait for more...maybe some Gypsy!
